This HDD extender can extend your Home Server Storage capacity to an extra 10TBs of storage, just chose your optional additional HDDs
Connected via a single eSATA data cable to the SQA-5H servers eSATA port, this slave unit
provides up to a further 5x 3.5" SATA HDD slots.
Based on the same tool less, high quality HDD caddies used in the SQA-5H, and
housed in the same sized chassis, this is an ideal compliment to your SQA-5H, if
you need that extra few terabytes of storage ! Again, it is fitted with a
hot swappable speed optimised 80mm fan, to ensure your HDDs are kept at an
optimal temperature.
This SQA-Ex will also connect to any other Home Server that has a port
multiplier enabled eSATA port, ie the HP MediaSmart Server EX470.

SQA-EX Very very easy to install.
1. Remove from packaging.
2. Connect SATA cable.
3. Connect power cable.
4. Insert hard drives into extender box.
5. Add hard drives using server console.
6. Job done !
A little expensive when compared with a SQA-5H. But it is very compact and looks great !!
Excellent addition Power cable & eSata cable come in the box. Connect them all and it works right away. As easy as that. Would be nice if it had a power button, or turned off with the Squash, but that's the smallest of niggles. Great quiet unit, far better quality than some cheaper units I've seen.

Simply excellent Puchased as an addition to a Squah, plugged in works wonderfully, my only disappointment no ability to daisy chain multiple boxes, so only 1/squash - shame with hd prices cheap it would be a great time to add MEGA storage
