The interface on all slim line optical drives can not be connected to regular power or IDE ports on your PC motherboard. This adapter provides Power in (floppy disk style), 40 pin IDE, analog and digital audio output connectivity.

The interface on all slim line optical drives can not be connected to regular power or IDE ports on your PC motherboard. This adapter provides 44 pin IDE for use with slim 44 pin connector on the motherboard, as that found on some Tranquil Pentium M systems, analog and digital audio output connectivity. A 44 way, 150mm cable is also provided with the adapter.
